Thrashed night at Kansas:-P

I have just returned from a night at Kansas City, and i have never been so thrashed from a night there as i am now. There has just been so much to do! I wanted to write this right away so i don't forget what i want to write by tomorrow:-P
Well, it was a big concert for a place like Kansas City tonight. Mercenary was the headliner with two suppoting bands: Unbelief and Submission. Unbelief is from Odense, so they had a great deal of support from the crowd! - The vocalist is a ”responsible” as it is called at Kansas City. It means he is the boss at the night he is ”on duty” at Kansas:-) He is a great guy and i have worked with him some times, so it was a cool experience to hear his band, and they were actually the best band:-P They were really good!! - In general the music tonight was just in a higher level than it usually is:-)
The good bands also attracted a lot of audience! - And that is why i am so amazingly tired, but i love to come home from a night at Kansas and feeling tired and thrashed, then it has been a great evening. The position that i use to have at Kansas is in a team of three in a night like this with these bands. Tonight it was a team of two because the third called in sick. And more crowed means more to do of almost everything. So my teams to do list looked like this:

- Checking the bathrooms once in a while
- Doing the dishes(whatever the band has used for dinner, and glasses in general during the night)
- Cleaning up bottles, and glasses from the tables during the night.
- Cleaning up after the bands in our two backstage areas.
- Cleaning the stage from bottles
- Stand in the door during breaks
- Make sure there is beer and soda in the bar or else fill it up! :-P
- Clean up if someone splashes beer or the like on the floor...

Its a challenge when you are two people:-P But i love it!
And i got an unexpected surprise! - A guy from the Danish Christian Metal Forum Assulting Vanity showed up! - I was so busy so we did'nt get to talk much though.

When people was almost out and i was sweeping the floor a security guy walked up to me and said: ”you did the hard work”, and gave me 20kr. Very nice of him. I had never even meet him before that night!
Well, i better go to bed before i pass out:-P

20 years old with a new tattoo!

Yeah, that is crazy! - I really cant believe that i have lived in 20 years!
I could not help but thinking a bit about my life so far. God has made it an amazing journey! And i can see as i look back that some of the things i have experienced has been a preparation for what is going to happen, and what has happened the last three years of my life. The three years of my life where God has invited me into a very exciting time filled with his amazing and undescribable love.

To celebrate the 20 years, me and my father went to the tattoo artist Gert at Magoo Tattoo in Silkeborg a couple of days later. And i got a tattoo on my foot with the text: MADE BY GOD...
I am very happy about it, and reminds me, that i am a child of God, and he has ceated me in his image:-)

Green Light District Festival 2009!

I truely dont know where to start! - 2009 has started in the most amazing way ever! - There has been so much to do. In the good way:-)

23-25th of january, has been an awesome experience! We had the 3rd Green Light District Festival, and God made it so unique! It is the greatest honor to serve God this way!! - To see him working through so many people, and working in so many people:-)
There were people who gave their life to Jesus, and many were encouraged to follow God even more. The fellowship was so blessed, and i loved to hang out with all the awesome people there:-)

Home and New years!

This is my first blog this year!
I have returned save from Greenland a couple of weeks ago, and I now have a lot of awesome memories from it:-)

The day after i cam home I went to Thisted, and then Bjerget to celebrate new years eve with a bunch of metalheads:-)It was a great night, i went to bed a bit early though. I was pretty trashed from Greenland:-)

The next day i spend with some of my friends from boarding school who had been celebrating new years close by, we went to see the new Jim Carrey movie "Yes!". Very nice to hang out with them again!

The day after I went straight to Vejle to meet with the GLDF-coregroup since the Green Light District Festival is not that far away and we need to get the last things done:-) That was a great time with the guys!

Day 12 - shopping and skiing!

Today we got up early to go shopping for the stuff I would like to bring home:-)

Some of the things I bought, besides the wristbands. I got them from Ulla(Hannes mother)who have made them! - They cost 250kr. in stores, and are a small part of the Greenlandic national costume:-) I was very honored!


I got my ears pierced! - Again:-P

After we had been shopping we went out to the skilift:-) I have been skiing once before in Norway, but I had forgotten a lot but quickly remembered some of the most important techniques...It wasn't pretty though:-P But fun!

Straight after we came home we went to a "Kaffemik" at Elisa and Aqqalu. It was Elisas 61 birthday. She is working in the church, with counseling and much more. She is the mother of a Greenlandic girl I went to boarding school with, whom I actually meet in the church christmas eve:-)
It was a very cultural experience! - I tasted some very typical Greenlandic fish dishes while Hanne was filming, with her brand new and nice camera:-P...Interesting!

After dinner Hanne, Lene and I went into the church room and played some music:-)

Then Rosa came by and we dressed up to go to "Heath", which is tree clubs/pubs/discos that has been joined. The first of them is a club were the youth(14-25) of Nuuk is hanging, the second a pub,(25-45) and the last place (45 - and up)
Hanne wanted me to meet some more of her friends and the fun of seeing me dressed up. They have a very strict dresscode! - We made it a "trip of prayer". We went down there to pray for the youth. We observed while we prayed sitting, walking around so on...I observed this guy with long hair and black clothes, walking alone looking like he was in the wrong place, and I just felt very strongly that I needed to do something, and he kept walking by no matter were I was! - So I ended up giving him the website for our danish christian metal forum on a trashed sales slip:-P The music was very loud so I could not say much, but he was very open, in his body language:-) I really hope he has kept that note!

Day 11 - Café and more snowcave...

We were supposed to get up early to go to the lift, but it was snowing a lot so the lift was probably closed, so we chose to stay home and sleep a bit longer:-P

When we finally got up we went to a café called "Barista" to join one of Hannes friends called Rosa. A very nice couple of hours:-)


Then we went home to relax but ended up building some more on our snowcave:-)

Afterwards we ate homemade ice-cream:-P

Day 10 - Snowcave and "The Dark Knight"!

Today has been a day of relaxation. We got up a bit late and then Hanne, John and I saw "Batman - The Dark Knight" - One of my christmas presents. I have been looking forward to see it again ever since I saw it in the theatre:-) It is really good!

Then Hanne and I went outside to build a small snowcave:-P Very fun, and Hanne is really good at it! We did not finish so we hope to continue another day:-) We made dinner, very easy since most of it was leftovers from christmas eve. I made caramelled potatoes for the first time in my life:-P

In the evening we played 2 boardgames. The first is called "Sequence and was one of Hannes christmas presents. The other one is called "Alias" - and is a wordgame.

They were both quite fun:-)
