The United States of America!!

As some of you know i will soon be going to the USA for a month on a schooltrip. To be exact: from 10th of October to 8th of November.
I will be staying at a hotel with my class mates in Austin, Texas. We are going to school every day at “Austin Community College”. We will be studying primarily 3 subjects that are especially designed for us: "English Litterature"(includes a lot of reading, which we started on doing when we started this year of school.) "Texas History" and "Gaming and Design graphics". (The last one is the one I am most excited about. The class before us, who went on this trip had homework like: “Guitar Hero” and “World of Warcraft”. And our teacher has a cool philosophy that is very different from other teachers:-P “Counter Strike” is not just sillyness but research:-P) In gaming we will be making and designing a real game. In the end of the stay, directors of some of the biggest game companies will be coming to judge our work!

There will besides school be a lot of places that we will visit. We will take a trip to N.A.S.A to get a guided tour and see a bit of Houston. We should have gone to the small island Galveston, but as you probably know, there is not much left of that island, so we will stay right outside of Houston.
We will also take a trip to San Antonio and see The Alamo and some other tourist attractions. We will experience a football match, Halloween and the presidential election the 4th of November.

Besides that we will probably go to a concert or two in Austin and me and my Christian class mate Morten, will visit some churches. I love visiting different churches to see how they do things different, and get inspired by it. I have been travelling a lot these last two years and seen a lot of different churches. It is really interesting and i am looking forward to see some american churches.

The class consist of 16 boys and me:-P So it is going to be a challenge, which i am looking forward to!
We have been preparing this trip since we started this summer. One of the subjects that we have on the highest level we can have(A) is Communication and IT. Here we have been divided in 3 groups. Each group had to make a website to a decided target group.

Group 1: Parents and teachers(my group) – in Danish
Group 2: Young people, friends of us – in Danish
Group 3: The people we meet in the US(teachers and so on) – In English

There will be posted pictures, video’s and we will be writing articles. You are of course very welcome to check it out:-)
I will be blogging here as much i can. I hope it will be every second day, or at least when something exciting has happend. And I will post pictures and video’s here as well:-)

Here are a picture of the hotel we will be staying at:

Kansas City! - Once again:-) aaand... New Breed Festival!

This friday i once again spend the evening/a bit of the night at Kansas City. Everytime i have been there im so excited and just have to blog about it:-P This time Illdisposed, Insickina and Grimmthurs were playing. I really enjoy being a part of the fellowship there is on Kansas City, the people there are very cool!
It seems like i work better and harder when metal music is filling the room, that i enjoy very much too!

Saturday evening i spend in Herning at New Breed Festival, with 6 hours of metal:-) Just what i needed and cool and great to see some of my friends before i will leave to go to The States(More about that soon)!

It has been a bit of a tough week though. Besides all the packing and other stuff to do before leaving for Texas, my grandmother has gotten sick. In the beginning of this week she had lost her will to live and it was not looking good. But now things are starting to brigthen. She is in the hospital, which is a miracle in itself, and i am very thankful for it, and i visited her today. She looks so much better so thats great:-)

Power performance

Today we had a rather unusual day at my school, called power performance. It’s a day of alternative sports of different kinds. Last week we had a normal “gym-day” where you can run and play football and things like that, but im not that much into sports so I choose to take that day off:-P Well today me and my classmate Morten had applied for stomp , which were very cool and really made everybodys pulse go up, and made me even more excited about starting to play drums(which I am thingking about) We had also applied for "Folk dancing". That was very fun too and very hard! – Im very happy that I choose to go today. It has been a lot of fun, and im very happy that God has given me this fun experience:-)

Stomp:

Parkour(where you use your body freely, to run up walls and stuff):

And here we are dancing:-P

Green Light District Festival and Intense Extreme Radio!

This weekend we had the first core-meeting about the next festival: 23-25th. of January. It was great to see them all again and get started on the planning! - We are kind of untraditional about the way we have our meetings which i think is very cool:-P

Besides planning the festival, my friend Andreas and i made some organization plans for Intense Extreme Radio, which im very happy about:-)

So now i have a lot of work to get started on with those two things, which i am very excited about:-) It is a huge blessing to me! - God is SO good!

Kansas City!

We have just started up again at Kansas City. Well actually first officially september 6. with "The Psyke Project", "Foot to Face" and "Road to Manila". But this weekend we had a special arrangement. Two girls had their birthday party at kansas. So it was a private event this time. We have never tried that before, but it was a VERY fun experience:-) We all wondered why these two girl had chosen Kansas City. It's a place thats very underground, we have almost only metal, rock and other very alternative music concerts. The whole staff is alternative people who loves alternative music in different ways. That day must have been the first time ever that we have experienced two DJ's and six hours of popmusic and a hundred mainstream people walking in and out of Kansas City:-) + We have never sold so many Bacardi Breezers before in one night:-)
So very different from what we are used to, but thats also very nice to try something different once in a while:-)
The people there were very nice and we(the staff) had a lot of fun:-)
There are a lot of staff on Kansas City so everytime im there, there is a new face. This time i was in the wardrobe, with a guy called Frederik. That was very cool to talk to him and get to know him a bit too:-)

I feel so blessed that i have found that place! - God has really been good to me! - I love being there, the poeple are so cool and we have a lot of fun, and get a lot of great music experiences! - I think im going to be there a lot this year:-) For now i have to great concerts i can look forward to:-)

Mallorca!

In this years vacation, my family and i was invited to Mallorca by my grandmother and grandfather, because of my grandmothers 80 years birthday:-) So we were 10 people:-)
It was a great week! - So many cool experiences:-) I have never been on this kind of vacation before and have never tried to fly before, so for me it was something brand new for me:-)

Above you will see the "Mini Disco" which was every night at the hotel! - 2 members of the staff had some children-songs in english, german and spanish, which they had made some moves too:-P That was pretty cool, that they had that every night for the kids:-)

Above: Live music by the pool...

As citizens of Odense in the very small country of Denmark, we were kind of proud that we meet the name of our football club in Spain:-P

Above: What this vacation was all about! - This cake was given by our guides on the trip:-) Very nice of them!!

PƄruplejr 2008!

Like last year i spend the first week of my vacation together with a lot of children. Apostolic church has this summercamp each year for children in the age of 7-12. I have been on it as a child and now im there to help out. There were 80 children there...Our visions with it is to tell the children about Jesus, and have fun with them.
One thing that really struck me is all the problems kids have! - They struggle with stuff that adults have a very hard time dealing with! - So we want to give these children a week of good experiences and new friends.
It has been really fun, and a learning experience!

Just a picture from this years activity day, were we have one big game that we play all day, were we dress up and stuff...This year we were in space:-P

Here is the picture from last year...If you are in any doubt we were pirates:-P
