Day 30 - Catch, movies, and Wiiii....

(Where i am at in Illiois)

Today Adam woke me up and we spend some time together before he had to leave to go to work. I then put all my CDs into my computer, and then on my iPod. Now i should have enough music to listen to on my way home in the plane:-P
Then iplayed some Resident Evil 4 on Wii once again:-P And then rode the bike to Adam work to eat. I really like the bike! - And it is so nice after i have not been riding mine for a month, and i am use to it every day normally.
In general i really like this place! - The weather is so nice, and i enjoy being surrounded by cornfields. It is so different and nice when you are use to live in a big city. So i really enjoy it!

When i returned i spend some more time on my computer, and playing a lot of Resident Evil 4. When Adam came home, Michael, him and me whent outside tp play catch for a few minutes.
Then we all went to the barn. Adam and i played some different games on Wii and xbox and then watched Shaun of the Dead:-)

Day 29 - Fireworks, wii, and so much more!

I woke up today to the sound of Adam coming up the stairs and a goodmorning.
I spend some hours playing some Wii - Resident Evil 4, and checking e-mail and so on. At 3:45 i rode a bike to Adams work which is very close to where he lives, to spend some time together eating:-)

After a while of being home Michael came home from work to pick me up to go get some things done. We went to a CD store and i bought 10 CDs:-P Many used ones, it is just so cheap here!

We went on to drop of a pillow to an older lady, and then to drop of Adams pictures from Cornerstone to get developed. Then we can see them tomorrow.

When we came home Adam had just returned home too. We spend some time firering fireworks, and then we played Wii, xbox and saw a movie:-)

It has been an awesome day!

Day 28 - Going to Illinois!

I started the day very early today! I got one hour of sleep, and then Andreas drove me to the airport, because today i was going to Illinois. The last 5 days of my stay here in The States, i will spend with Adam:-) I have been looking so much forward to see him again, after we decided to take the next step and be more than just friends:-)

Well, i took my first flight from Nashville at 7:10am. I pretty much slept the whole way to St. Paul. I was sooo tired! - Then i found the next plane very easy, and left St. Paul at 10:15. I was in Peoria at 12:00, where i was picked up by Adam, Michael and James. We went to get something to eat in Wall-Mart and then went in to a Baseball game!

That was fun to try! - It is really a cool part of the American culture. I tried to keep up with the rules, who are quite complicated, but i learned a lot more today!

After the game we went home to Adam and Michael, to change car and drop off stuff, and i got to meet his parents, and got to see where i have to sleep. Then Adam drove us to a Wall-Mart where Michael and I hung out, until Adam returned. And then off too the theatre to watch Harry Potter 6:-)
It was really good!! - Then we drove home to his parents house, and Adam and Michael showed me the barn where they live. A really cool place!!

Day 27 - Hanging out with the Schertz!

Today we slept until 12, and then i got ready to be picked up, but fell asleep again on the couch. Andreas was supposed to pick us up at 2 but he fell asleep for two hours:-P So we were picked up a little later, to go to Bobs house to help out a little with packing up all the things that they had not sold at the garage sale.

Then we were just hanging out at Bobs and helping out a little until we went back to Jims house to hang out and clean up a little before Amanda and her parents came to hang out at about 9 o'clock. Her parents went almost straight to bed. I went to make a phone call and when i came back out the guys had made a bonfire in the yard, and was making meat:-P It was really nice!
Later Jonas, Levi, Asbjørn and i went inside to watch "Underworld 3". When it was finished i could get an hours sleep, before i had to go back up:-P

Day 26 - Garage sale and hanging!

Today Andreas brought Levi and me to Bobs house to get some internet. We stayed there for some time, and helped a little bit with the garage sale.

Then we went to pick up Asbjørn and Jonas to go to Good Will to see if we could find them something cool to their photoshoot on monday. We pretty much failed and went to buy clove/black cigarettes, and then went back home:-)

The internet was up and running again since Jim had called the company and complained:-) Really nice!

The rest of the day was spend in the house, hanging out wathcing TV and so on.

I am sorry i dont have any pictures from the day, but there really has not been much going on to take pictures of:-)

Day 24 - Nathan Lee and studios!

Today has been a very exciting day, case it really made me think!
We went to hang out with Nathan Lee, who has this very cool place in a warehouse, were he is writing his songs and so on. When we arrived we all went in Nathans van to get coffee and donuts, and then right back to his place, which is the most inspirering place! - He has so many cool things and instruments and so on! We talked, and Bob and him talked about how it is to live their lives without a regular paycheck, but just living by whatever God gives you. An you dont always know what comes next! - And in many ways that is what i will probably have to do now. Een though it is a though way to live, it just made me so excited because you really learn to appreciate what you have, and see what God is giving you! - So i left the place feeling very encourageed, and filled by the love of God, and his excitement for my. And now i just feel so ready to get started! - And some things that i have been wondering about just makes sense now!

After spending some hours at Nathans place we went on to see a place in Nashville where they have 32 practise rooms, and is building studio and so on. A really cool place! - And 2 guys showed us around. One of them is making musicvideos with some other guy, and he showed us one of them they had done for Jonas Brothers. Pretty cool!

Then before we went home, we went by a grocery store to stock up:-P

We had a little weird and very funny experience today! - Levi was lying in the bed and wanted to take a nap, which the animals found great, so they were all lying around him. Jonas and Asbjørn walks in the room, and Jonas noticed a little poop in the bed, pointing at it. I guess the dog took that as a hint and kindly removed it for us, by eating it! - That was so funny!! - Asbjørn just could not stop laughing which made the whole episode even more fun!!

Day 23 - Tattoos and piercings!

Today we went to the tattoo shop Lone Wolf Tattoo, so Asbjørn and Jonas could get their tattoos:-)
I got a piercing while we were there anyway, that i have been thinking about for some time:-P I decided to finally get it done last night, so i did today! - I am very happy about it:-)

Levi got his ears pierced and Asbjørn got his left nipple pierced too! - Jonas got a tattoo on his arm which is so so awesome!! - Asbjørn got a lip tattoo with the text: nåde which means mercy. It looks really cool too! - He was supposed to have his arm done too but there was not enough time even though they spend 7 hours in the shop:-P So he will go back on thursday.

Levi and i went back to Bobs house when Jonas outline was finished. Levi helped Bob set up his parent computer and so on, and i looked through Bobs old tapes which he just did not have the energy to do. And i found some really interesting stuff, from Rock history!

Bob went to pick up the guys at the tattooshop and then came back to pick up Levi and me to drive us back home to the La Verde house.

The evening was for me spend video chatting once again:-)

Day 22 - Hanging and Mac store!

Today we got up at about 9, to go to the Mac store with Bob. We met Phil there, and went to lunch at one more of those all you can eat - places. It was pretty good, but i liked the Daily Buffet with the chinese food better:-P

We went to Bobs to stock up some food, and then went back to Jims house to chill and hang out with a movie and just tv in general. We were all pretty tired because we have gone to bed so late the last couple of days. So later on we took naps:-P We had a lot of fun just hanging around though!

I spend the evening video chatting on skype before i went to bed.

Day 21 - Sleeeeep, chill and Nathan Lee!

Today we woke up a little before 2!! - We were supposed to go feed the homeless at 2, so we missed it!
I knew i needed a lot of sleep because the last days i have gone to bed way to late! - But i really wanted to go feed the homeless.

The last two nights we have had the cats lying in our bed at night. They just come by themself and join us:-P I have started to enjoy it. I didnt thinjk i would cause i am normally not that much of an animal person. Not that i dont like them, i have just not been used to having more tham a rabbit around:-) But i have learned having 1 dog and 2 cats around for a while, that indoor cats like these are actually much nice'er than dogs:-P

We spend the day at the house, where we were just chilling and hanging out. We watched CSI, and some other different stupid tv shows and series. And i spend time on the internet too:-)

At 8 we were picked up by Pastor Bob. We went to a concert with a guy called Nathan Lee. He is a christian musician, and the style is some soft rock mixed with some more:-P I had a great time there! - I really liked his music! - He has a great voice and he is really good t playing the piano. He had a band with him too:-) Afterwards we hung out for a bit talking to some of the people we have already met here in Nashville, and got to meet more people. We also got the chance to talk to nathan Lee. He is a cool guy! - And he just got a tattoo in L.A by Kat Von D from L. A. Ink!! - A back piece. So i have seen a Kat Von D. tattoo in real life! And it was really good! - You could actually see it was her work! - Maybe i have seen too much L. A. Ink, and Miami Ink:-P

One of these days we are going to visit Nathan Lees studio and hang out. I am really looking forward to that!

Day 20 - Scream the Prayer!

We got up early to go pick up fopod at Trader Joes, for the homeless. Afterwards we drove back to Bobs to unload and sort through it all:-)

Later on Steve came. He, jonas, Asbjørn, Levi and i were going to a concert event called Scream the Prayer at a pretty known venue called Rockettown in Nashville. Michael W. Smith, a famous christian artist who makes worship music owns the place:-) All of the bands were christian metal bands and most of them pretty huge too!

Day 19 - Moving boxes and Chinese!

Today we got picked up at a 9:30, to go help Bob move some of his boxes and stuff from his brothers house where he use to live to his parents house where he lives now:-)
He had a lot more than he thought but much of it is these really cool things which are a part of the christian Rock n' Roll history:-)

Afterwards we went to the Daily Buffet which is this all you can eat Chinese food, with dessert and everything!! - So awesome food and so cheap!

Then Bob dropped us off at a mall were we spend some hours. We especially spend time in the Gibson store:-P

When i got home i spend 5 hours talking on skype:-)

And then i joined the guys who were watching the movie: "knowing", quite good and scary:-)

Day 17 - Hanging in the La Verde house and hanging at Panera Bread!

Today we could sleep until late! - So nice:-)
So we got up a little while before 12 today:-)
I started the day with walking the dog Maggie. It was nice to get out a little but the humidity is so crazy here!
Afterwards i joined Levi who was watching Ed, Edd and Eddy - a crazy cartoon:-)

Pastor Bob picked us up at about 4 and we drove to a cafe kind of place were they had wifi, called Panera Bread. We met up with a guy called Jason who know almost about everything there is to know about Macs:-) Pretty cool!
Later on his wife joined us. She is a lawyer and specializes in immigration, so Bob asked her a lot of questions on getting citizenship in the U.S. :-P Hmm.. maybe there were some kind of agenda behind:-P
Well, we stayed there pretty late. And were home at around 10, after some extra time on the road because there had been a car accident on the road we had to go to get home.

When i got home i chatted a lot on facebook, and then went to bed pretty late:-)

Day 16 - Transformers and Gibson!

Today we woke up to the tunes of A Hill to Die Upon:-) Nice way to wake up!
Then we were picked up at 9:30 to drive Andreas to the airport so he could go to visit his new girlsfriend Amanda in Peoria:-)

Right after Pastor Bob drove Levi and I to the movies:-) We started out in the Gibson store! - That is a great store!! - A cool guy named Brian showed us a guitar that can tune it self! - So awesome! - We also found a great great guitar! - Made for metal music! - It has the greatest sound!

Well, then we went to see Transformers 2 on IMAX. It is this huge huge screen! - 10 times as big as a normal screen. The movie was so awesome! - There is a lot of action in it, but it is also very fun:-) I would recommend it if you are into action:-)

Afterwards we went to do some grocery shopping:-) And coming back into the house was so weird. It felt like we had our own house with a dog and 2 cats:-P

In the evening we watched some CSI and then i watched a All Star Baseball game while chatting with Adam on facebook, so he could tell me what was going on! - Wow Baseball is a complicated game! - But i actually think it is pretty cool:-) I learned som culture:-)

Day 15 - Cafe and housewatching!

We got up a bit before 10 today, because at 10 Jim La Verde cam to pick me and Levi up. We went to his house to see everything because we are going to stay there for some time to look after the house, cats and dog:-) They are going to visit Jims father who is dying of cancer at the moment. So a rough time for the family. So we were filled in about how to feed the 2 cats and the dog, and stuff, and they have 2 bikes and a Nintendo Wii we can use, so i think it will be fun to stay there. And oh yeah lots of swings of different kinds:-P

Jim drove us back to Bob, and we then went to a health store called Whole Foods. It is also a cafe. We met a girl there called Tamara who is in charge of womens ministry. The store was also a cafe and had wifi, so that was cool:-)

Then we drove to the Mac store, were i got new headphones, and then we drove back home:-)

So we hung out at the computers until about 8 were Levi and I moved to Jim La Verdes house. They have a modem for internet but by using levis computer as a kind of a server we made it work so i have wireless internet and he has internet two but is attached to a certain place. The internet was our first priority and the first thing we did when we came in:-P

Levi started the Nintendo Wiiand did some singing! - And i spend some time on my computer:-)

And the rest of the time we were just checking out the house:-)

Day 12 - Hanging!

Today we got up early, and started the day in front of the computers:-P Were we were sitting for a lot of hours. Later on we went to get a nap because we got up so early, i didnt sleep as long as Levi and Andreas though, but it was nice to get some more sleep!
Afterwards Levi and i went out to get a Black cigarette, and got the idea to do it in the water wheeler, you know that kind of boat were you paddle with your feed:-P That was kind of fun, and relaxing! - I love the huge lake they have in their yard:-)

The rest of the day until later we were still just hangning in front of the computers. Afterwards we watched the movie Doomsday which we bought in the airport in Amsterdam, just to have something to do:-P We didnt see it though:-P We saw Shot em up:-)
So now it was time to see Doomsday:-) It was so much better than i had expected it to be! - It was actually pretty god:-) When we had seen it, we went to bed.
Even though we have not been doing a whole lot today, it has been a great and really fun day! - These guys are so much fun to hang around:-)

Day 10 – Tattoo day!

Today has been wild:-) I woke up and were just lying in my bed trying to get my self to get up when someone knocked on my door. It was Trish, she said that she was in labor and they would go to the hospital soon:-) I am so happy for them! - I spend the morning playing with Brydan their son, so they could get things packed and go. He is so cute! - I also woke up with my eye all swollen. It had started to itch a little the night before. I got some pills for it that made me real tired, but it helped:-P
At noon Pastor Bob and Levi came by to pick up Andreas and I to go to the tattooist:-D ”Lone Wolf Tattoo. We had from 12 to 6 to get some stuff done, so six hours:-)
I was the first one to go. I got two lonestars/punkstars behind my ear. The reason is that i have been to Texas with my class for a month, and we had such a good time, and i really want to have a memory of that. We also found out that it was a dane called Charles Zancko who added the star to the Texan flag:-) Besides that, punkstars are always cool:-P
It turned out much better than i had expected! - I am really happy about it:-)
While Levi was getting tattooed i got two more piercings in my ear, sooo nice:-P I am very happy about them too! - It has been a wild day of pain:-P

Levi got his tattoo fixed up with some thicker lines and some color in it too and some background, looks real nice!

Andreas got his left arm finished up around his shoulders with some shades and stuff, looks real good too!

We had until 6, but stayed longer. So we have been hanging out in the shop for 8 and a half hours today:-P
The guys in the shop was very nice, we talked to them, and they are christians too. That was kind of fun to see so many christian symbols hanging on the walls, instead of the many nasty ones in regular tattoo shops:-)

I also got some more mosquito bites today, they seem to love me over here! -The last two years in Denmark they stopped liking me, but I guess the American mosquitos has another sense of taste:-P

When i got home(Jamie and Trish) i spend some time on my computer:-) And then i talked on the phone with Adam from A Hill to Die Upon whom i meet at Cornerstone for a couple of hours, and when we were finished talking we could go on facebook and change our relationship status:-) So many great things happened today! I am very excited and so happy! - I could not have wished for a better guy:-)

Day 9 – Movies!

Today I was picked up at Jamies and Trish at 10:30 to go to the movies. Andreas should have come along but he did not feel very well. Levi, Bob and me saw Public enemy, the new Johnny Depp movie and afterwards Ice Age 3 in 3D, that was quite fun:-)
Afterwards we went back to Bobs to work and do some more catching up and chatting on the computer and stayed there for the rest of the evening:-)

Day 8 – Hanging out, working at Bobs!

Today Andreas, Levi and I spend the whole day at Bobs house. We were eorking on our computers all day, catching up on e-mails, facebook, myspace, blog and so on:-) There were a lot of work to do and I did not get it all done, but I got to chat with some people back home and new friends in the States:-)

Day 7 – Travelling to Nashville!

Today Levi, Andreas and I were picked up at 8 by Pastor Bob as i said. We drove while sleeping mostly and grabbed some lunch on the way at ”Amishland”. We arrived to the place were Bob is living, and meet his parents, one of his brothers, his wife and kids. When we had gotten something to eat and fired some fireworks because of the 4th of july yesterday, we went to the place were me and Andreas will be staying. Levi will be at Bobs. Andreas and I will be staying with a really nice family! - Trish and Jamie. Trish is pregnant and can have her baby any day now, so that is kind of exciting. They have a son who is 3 and a half years old called Bryndan. He is so cute! - He called me pretty and kissed me on the cheek when he had to go to bed. Andreas knows the family. He has stayed with them for about a half a year and some more month at another time.

Day 6 – Cornerstone!

We woke up in a tent quite chaotic – more than usual. Water had started to come inside the tent. And the many Skittles which was bought had a tendency to disintegrate as soon as a small drop of water came near. The whole place was very muddy and i decided to walk barefooted the whole day.
We spend a long time in the tent. None of us wanted to go outside in the rain. I finally went to buy some merch and Kevin gave me and umbrealla! - So nice of him! - he is one of the guys at the Sanctuary stage.
I was hanging out with Adam from A Hill to Die Upon and we went to see War of Ages and Living Sacrifice. Two awesome concerts!
In the evening i went to the Sanctuary worship once again. Afterwards i ran into Adam and we walked around talking, and sat down talking, we were basicly just haning out all night talking. So i did not get any sleep at all. A very nice night though! - We went to our tent to pack everything, and then Bob came to pick us up, to go for a 6-7 hour ride to Nashville. So we had to say goodbye to everyone. So sad!
