Day 8 - Renaissance Festival

(Sorry about the rusty picture)
Today we went to Texas Renaissance Festival. That was a very different and special experience! - It was quite a huge place were they had all these different kinds of food, clothes, and jewelery stands. Most of the people there were dressed up in costumes, and there were parades and stuff like that! A lot of stuff did not match with the renaissance, but i guess the Americans are exhusted:-P

Something i thought was really interesting was these parts of it i could recognize from "my own culture". The Christian Metalheads. There were a lot of similarities. And i could not help thinking that it must be some of the same feelings they have for this as we have for our metal festivals, with the fellowship, and people liking the same things as yourself:-)
Just some pictures:
Here has everyone just gotten off the bus

Thomas and Kasper

My classmates had to try some of the events there. Here Michael is shooting with the old-fashioned bow

After the festival we went back to Austin, to relax at the hotel and have some fun, which we had a lot of that night:-)
